Accessibility is not a patch we add at the end—it is the blueprint from the first wireframe. Our AI tools open exciting new ways to personalize stories, but they only deliver joy when every player can participate. Here’s how we ensure that our adventures welcome as many people as possible.

Co-Design Sessions With Players

Each quarter we run co-design workshops with players who identify as blind, low-vision, neurodivergent, hard of hearing, and mobility-impaired. These sessions inform interface layout, tutorial pacing, and controller remapping. Participants are paid for their time and see follow-up summaries of how their insights shaped the release roadmap.

Flexible Sensory Settings

Every Hutzpa title ships with at least fifteen customizable sensory settings.

Players can swap visual themes, reduce motion, enable haptic captions, or add descriptive narration with one tap.

Setting What It Does Where To Find It
Descriptive Narration AI narrator provides scene summaries, character emotions, and puzzle hints. Accessibility > Audio
Motion Comfort Mode Reduces camera shake, auto-adjusts FOV, and adds grounded reference points. Accessibility > Visual
Haptic Captions Converts key audio cues to controller vibrations or mobile taps. Accessibility > Haptics
Contrast Designer Lets players pick custom color palettes and outline thickness for UI elements. Accessibility > Visual

Localization Beyond Translation

Our localization pipeline covers more than text. AI voice actors adapt to local idioms, and cultural consultants review quests to ensure references resonate. We now support 14 languages, and every new language launch includes community livestreams where players can ask questions live.

Testing With Assistive Technology

Before launch we test each game with screen readers, alternative controllers, switch inputs, and eye-tracking devices. We work with third-party labs to verify compatibility across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and consoles. The resulting accessibility report is published on our support center so players know exactly what to expect.

Join Our Accessibility Council

We’re always looking for new voices. If you want to share your experience, email access@hutzpagames.com with your favorite genres and any accommodations you use. Council members receive sneak peeks at prototypes, stipends for their feedback, and recognition in our release notes.

Accessible design is a journey, not a checkbox. Thank you for keeping us accountable and helping us build AI adventures that feel like home for everyone.
